I finished Bananza...or did I?

Donkey Kong Bananza is probably bigger than you think it is. I just rolled credits on this incredible new Nintendo platformer, but like Super Mario Odyssey (which Bananza is technically a prequel to), it then unlocks a whole new set of challenges and areas to explore through a new surprise beat in the narrative.

Very cool stuff!

Donkey Kong Bananza Review

I in no way rate highly enough to receive review code from NIntendo, so I know my review will be wildly late…but I actually think I like this game more than even the mostly positive critical consensus indicates. It’s a breathtaking blend of tech and design, and probably the coolest thing Nintendo has made in decades. I need to see a bit more of the endgame before I weigh in “officially.”

Nintendo Switch 2 JoyCon Charging Grip Review

The original Switch charging grip was…interesting. It allowed you to fully ensure your JoyCons hit their max battery life, and I guess it was great if you wanted to play docked all the time but didn’t ever want to put your JoyCons on the sides of the system.

Still, it kind of felt like it was a thirty dollar thing in search of a use case. The Switch 2 version fixes that problem (a little) and adds more utility in a move that reminds me of one of my favorite forgotten Sony peripherals.
