Three headsets and a mouse walk into a bar...

Okay, well it’s technically two headsets and one pair of Bluetooth headphones, but that didn’t fit this awkward title construction in the way I wanted it to.

Here’s everything I’ve got planned for this week!

AKG K361-BT Review (Now Live On Medium Click This Go)- In spite of not really loving the fit of the K371-BT, I was curious to see if the lighter K361-BT would do better. The same comfort disparity exists in the wired versions, after all. Fortunately, the K361-BT is a better headphone than the more expensive one in all ways…except for sound. Oh.

Incidentally, this is officially my last headphone review ever. I’ve taken breaks from the world of headphones before, but now I’m making that permanent. It’s been a lot of fun over the last six years, but it hasn’t been the most profitable or community-building.

I’ll still be covering games, gaming peripherals, and music, so don’t change the tab or delete your bookmarks just yet! Speaking of gaming peripherals…

HyperX Pulsefire Dart Mouse Review (Live Right Here)- I don’t really understand why they’d call this mouse a dart. I don’t ever want to throw my mouse across the room into a board. That would be bad. Still, this is my first time with a HyperX mouse and it’s pretty good so far.

Razer BlackShark V3X Review (Now Live Here)- Over the weekend, I ranted about Razer’s new headset. I can’t fathom why they made this really. Well, soon I’ll maybe know why. I ordered one and it’s on the way to me right now. That’s right, I bought a headset after calling its marketing terrible. I’ve never done that before!

Razer Kraken Tournament Edition Review (Delayed to middle of next week for more Dongle Testing)- When Razer announced the above-mentioned Kraken “V3” X, I got worried about what the state of the “standard” Kraken V3 would be. Would it be an update of the awesome V2 frame, with its memory foam ear pads and cooling gel and aluminum? Or would it look like the X model? Or maybe it’ll use the frame from the Razer Kaira Pro?

I’ve never owned the most recent version of Razer’s standard Kraken so I thought it was time to give it a go. So I bought one and I’m putting it through its paces. And yes, I even glued the THX dongle to my desk with the removable adhesive inexplicably affixed to the back of it. That felt very strange, but that’s the experience they want customers to have, so I did it.

I’m hopeful that both headset reviews will be out by the end of the day on Saturday, but with all the listening tests I like to do one of them might slip into early next week.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
